OUR PRODUCTS

Norfolk Knits creates bespoke children’s handknits and adult accessories using beautiful natural fibres and finishings. All items are individually designed and handmade to customers’ specifications by textile artist, Lorna Gostling.

Many of the items are personally made by Lorna, although Norfolk Knits has a small team of skilled hand-knitters who provide excellent support.

The designs and colours are often inspired by the unique natural beauty of Norfolk.

All designs for children’s knitwear are available in sizes 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-4 years. Larger sizes may be available on request. Please view gallery for examples.

We have an extensive range of products and designs, including jumpers, cardigans, bootees, hats, scarves & mittens, ponchos, dresses, bags, toys and knitting kits for babies and children. In addition to this, we can make gorgeous accessories for grown-ups! Our range includes ponchos, hats, scarves & wraps, wrist warmers, tea cosies and cushions, and each item not only looks beautiful but feels luxurious to the touch because of the high quality materials used in its creation.

Each piece is made from natural fibres — including wool, alpaca, cotton, cashmere, silk, angora, bamboo, soya and hand-dyed yarns — and is individually finished with buttons or beadwork — again, using natural materials such as shell, glass, wood, coconut and ceramics.

YARNS

We sell a wide range of beautiful, natural yarns (including silk and alpaca), ranging from double-knitting through to aran weight. A small selection of colours available within each range is shown below.

COMMISSIONS

For individually commissioned items, we work closely with all our customers to create their one-off, unique piece. You can choose from a wide range of colours and different yarns, and we will help you to achieve the perfect design for you by advising on such matters as which yarn types would be suitable for your project to create the maximum effect.

EVENTS
